I was using the corner of a toothpaste tube to make my legs bleed. I didn't want to leave the house, and I wore grey tracksuits with my hair in a ponytail. I had a huge amount of debt, had my home repossessed and taken away, and felt like there was no way out of a long dark tunnel emotionally, physically, mentally and financially.

Hello, I'm Caroline Strawson, a multi-award winning Trauma Therapist & Coach and founder of The School of Trauma Informed Positive Psychology.

In 2010, I experienced a series of life-changing traumatic events. My mum, who was my rock, died very suddenly, and my husband walked out on me and our two children. I was left with over $85,000 worth of debt and at that time; I didn't even realise I'd been in an abusive marriage with a covert narcisisst. I was at rock bottom, a shell of myself.

Eventually, I was diagnosed with complex PTSD, and realised that I was suffering from depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and self harm. All the while thinking "How could an intelligent woman like myself, with a medical background, find herself in this situation!?!"

I experienced some very dark days where I felt judged, alone, and isolated. Days that have made me determined to stop other women from feeling like this for as long as I did.

Those experiences with narcissistic abuse and trauma inspired me to take this path to help women around the world heal their own trauma, find meaning in their stories, and awaken their potential to live a life of joy, connection, and LOVE.

My unique combination of nervous system and somatic healing techniques that incorporate a combination of cognitive (mind) and somatic (body) therapies are designed to re-envision and heal the trauma of narcissistic abuse ONCE AND FOR ALL!
